OUR PROGRAMS
Homework Club
We support literacy and English language acquisition for school-aged children. Homework Club meets on Mondays and Wednesdays after school, pairing English-speaking volunteers with elementary students to help complete homework, with a strong emphasis on writing and reading comprehension. All participants come from homes where English is not the primary language. Tutors receive guidance from a lead tutor and often develop lasting relationships with the children and their families.

Club Accion
Club Accion is a collaborative plan to provide high school students and their families with the knowledge, skills, and resources to ensure high school graduation and increase college access and attendance rates.
Focuses on:
- HS and MD Workshops
- Academics, Tutoring, Life-skill activities, and Community service
- One-On-One Success Coaching/Mentoring
- Family nights and events

Bilingual Club
El Centro’s bilingual club provides a welcoming environment where middle and high school students can improve their English skills through interactive activities and casual conversation. By participating in games, group discussions, and cultural exchanges, students gain confidence in speaking and comprehension—while forging new friendships and broadening their perspectives.
